The Perils of Toddler Hair Styling

in Baby Evelyn, Family & Friends, Kids

When you have a baby girl, it is only natural to want to put cute things in her hair and otherwise make her identifiable as such.

My girls, though? Neither wanted to keep them in at this age.

Maybe a satin rosette, baby? Homemade?

No way, man.

Which is especially hard to watch when you are a Martha-Stewarty mommy and make these yourself (luckily, my older girl loves to wear all of these all the time, now that she’s in school).

Sometimes she keeps them in for a little bit, but mostly they just annoy her.

I made a whole bunch of these, actually, but some got lost. A great use for scraps, right? Make your own using this tutorial.

It’s a little better with the ones on the back of her head.

Oh well, someday.

Those never worked on my daughter either… she has just started wearing things in her hair (and I mean a pony tail, not a bow!) now that she is seven, and even then they don’t last long! On the other hand, my son sees his sister and wants to wear them too!

My son likes pigtails also! Wears them, too. Around the house.
