The past couple of weeks have been filled with all kinds of new developments, improvements, and additions! Here they are, in no particular order:
I now “make” dress-up! I made this tutu skirt for my girl. Tutorial coming soon!
I now make candy! Hard candy, specifically, which earned me cool mom points with my kids fer sure. Not that I’m after points or anything.
Meet my new silicon candy mold – the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
Snow! This is my in-laws’ farm.
I have new kitchen windows! Doing dishes is now officially my favorite activity!
And, if you know me at all, I bet you didn’t see this one coming:
I am now a DOG OWNER!
Meet Olive, the other reindeer, my new dog! This three-year-old spayed female belonged to dear friends until they moved to town and began to look for a new country home for their half-lab, half golden retriever companion. This is a bit of a plunge for me – I haven’t owned a dog since I was eight, when our sweet sixteen-year-old miniature pincher passed away. Back in the Old Country, we fed him on Soviet-factory hotdogs otherwise unsuitable for human consumption, but here in the capitalist paradise I’ve got plenty of cow bones and other good stuff.
