While this year’s weather was absolutely surreal, with record heat, unimaginable drought, and bizarre, unseasonable warm spells, it was also responsible for the most glorious fall display in my nearly ten years in Wisconsin.
The town, the woods, and our farm were aflame in the way I’d never seen before. Because of the drought, every tree turned colors more or less at the same time, instead of taking turns throughout the season. It was absolutely magical.
One of the greatest things about living in the county is having a built-in park right outside your door.
Isn’t the world full of wonders!
You know what I love about having three kids versus two? Instead of a pair, we now have a built-in community – just what we were hoping for.
Have kids.
Have a few.
But only if you want to.
Fall is so very much my favorite season.
(Name that tree.)
Something about this time of year makes you wanna take a photo of your boots in the fallen leaves. I love Mucks – I wear them around the farm, to town, to meetings, parties, and deer hunting. They project nicely who I am while delivering unparalleled comfort to my feet (as long as I don’t wear them in warm weather).
Love is all we need! Let Cyrus tell you about that.
