One of the things I love about having a bunch of kids is the repetition, including seeing various outfits worn over and over again.
I like how they make me reminisce.
This sweet pink outfit with roses, for instance, was worn by Evie’s sister Josie precisely six years ago. My mother-in-law bought it at a children’s second-hand store in La Crosse.
Needless to say, putting it on Evie a couple of days ago gave me major flashbacks, since, unlike their brother, both of my girls have the exact same eye and hair color (at least for now), and in general look very much alike.
In fact, these photos are bringing tears to my eyes even as I type this.
But Evelyn doesn’t really look like a copy of Josie (above). She has a somewhat different personality from what I remember Josie having at that age, and her facial features, though similar, are still very much her own.
And look, she’s finding her toes!
Aren’t they a fun toy?
She’d say so.
