There is no need to buy your children pricey toys – just try overgrown vegetables!

Sure, these can be scary at first…

But give them a little time!

Cyrus may have started out perplexed, but it sure looks like he’s got an idea now!

Makes a damn fine balancing board too, don’t you think?

Oh that’s just too funny. We have a pic of my sister where she’s holding a broom (vennik) and it’s almost as tall as she. Though, it’s not as fun as a giant zucchini.

If you’d let that one grow another day, it could have been a canoe!

I use my overgrown zukes for target practice-stand them on a stump and fire away!

A girlfriend of mine just suggested the same thing! However, I don’t usually shoot during the summer when these are in season, just not wanting to be outside. And I also like the precision of having a target pinned to a box, and then I actually use a BB-gun to practice a lot (someone told me that they also do it in some branches of the armed forces in US!), and then I like a can in a tree cause it jumps and goes “zing.”

The zukes are fun to hit as well. I use a .22 and it plows chunks right out of them! Very easy to see where you hit, sometimes chunks of flying zuke too :)
